Power Antenna Camaro and Firebird Interchangable?

I am looking to install a power antenna on my 02 Camaro but wanted to know if the power antenna from the Firebird (10482860) is the same as the camaro (10482859) power antenna, it's for a convertible.

Thanks

i put a power one on my first 99 z and my current one, they just didnt come with them. The gm one {used in the t/a} works fine, or an aftermarket one will work also, just need to run a turn on, as the camaro's dont have one.

Just finished the power antenna install. I followed a couple How-To's found here and on the web. The things I did a little different were sodering the connector to the wire before inserting it into the radio connector. I also covered the wire from the radio to the antenna with 1/8" loom. This will protect the wire. I grounded the antenna to a nut holding the bumper on. Any metal to metal ground will work. I also cut one of the Orange power wires to the factory amp and used a butt connector with heat shrink tubing. One end went to the connector and the other I connected both the antenna and the other end of the cut power lead.

Thanks

Also if you have an aftermarket stereo you can just hook it up to the remote wire
