i got a 89 camaro rs 305 tbi my temp gauge is not working anyone know how to fix this problem??..thanks

dont now that car too well but first things i would check is to make sure the connection is good at the temperature sensor.
make sure the connection between the sensor and the wire feeding your gauge is secure and good.
my jeep cherokee's oil pressure gauge woudl always max out and this was why... the wire just fell off all the time

yeah it also reads on the temp gauge max out all the way to the top but anyways thanks for your help ill give it a try..thanks

does it simply sit at maxed out, or does it quickly climb to maxed out very soon after starting the car? if it doesnt move at all, its probably a bad temp sensor, loose connection, or bad guage. if it just rapidly moves to maxed out (faster that the car would logically be able to heat up that fast) it could be an air bubble in the cooling system caused by a problem in that system. the waters not actually that warm, its just the bubble hitting the temp sensor. happened to me before, scared the hell outta me.... ended up being a bad waterpump...

yeah this one stays max out it dont move at all...thanks for help
