Ooops! advice much needed

So I just "finished" a swap 98 3.8 liter to 03 3.8 liter. converted the FWD to RWD and stuck the engine on in there. however when hooking the wiring together i thought i hit all the grounds, missed one tho. I left the main ground a lil loose on the back of the compressor. Turned the key, *spark* OOOOOPS! it was loose... so what all did I fry? starter no longer responds, but that's the least of my worries. no fuses/relays blown. how likely is it that my ECM is gone? the odometer reads fine and the accessories all answer, but i guss that doesn't mean the ecm isn't fried... help ease my worries and offer advice. thanks!

it's not so much a v6 issue. its more of an electrical thing. besides i'm not really expecting anyone to be able to help. more or less needed to vent.

Update to the madness: found 2 loose grounds and fixed them up. pulled the starter and found it to be shot. treated the crap out of the gas last night and decided once i re-checked the wiring and installed the starter to try to start the car. she's trying to turn over but no luck yet. could be the bad fuel, i supposed. hopefully! don't want to have fried the icm. or worse the ecm.
