no sound

no sound

o.k i just hooked up a cd player in the z. it had power and it was recieving reception but there was no sound out of the speakers. it is a 95 with the 5 speaker bose system. i've heard there is a way to do it but no body knows the procedure.i would appriecate any information you could give me.

re-wire your speakers. Only thing to do with an aftermarket cd player.

Wrong. quite a few companies make adaptors for use with aftermarket steroes going into bose equipt cars. They sell a good one by scosche at Walmart now for $18. You can get sound now by hooking up the power ant lead from the factory harness. BLue wire on metra harness. Or Pink wire on factory harness. But you should get the adaptor to cut the signal down first. You can rewire the car but you will have to purchase new speakers and you will loose the factory sub. The bose speakers are low impedence and wiring direct will eventually cause problems.
