no bass with the top down :(
I have a 95 trans am convertible and i have 2 audiobuhn 12'' subs in the trunk , with the top up the system is more then enough but with the top down is almost like theres no bass at all , the problem is the top comes down behind the seat and completely seals off the trunk and allows no bass out .
Im wondering what if anything others have done to help this , i have thought about somehow porting the box into the front , or adding some kinda of spacer under where the top folds down on to but i dont want to f*ck up my top. The rest of you out there with convertibles must have had the same problem , are you just more willing to live with it ?thanks for reading and let em know of any ideas you have ....Joe

Re: no bass with the top down :(
I just adjust the "sub output" on the head unit. With the top up its on 9 and when its down i set it to 12 (max) and it gets the job done. Try playing around with your head unit adjustments. I only have a single 12" with a 500W amp and its fairly loud with it down.
