New System?

Hey guys, Im looking at putting in a new system since all my current stock speakers are blown. Im a complete newb when it comes to speakers but im planning on getting a stealth box for my TA from subthump. I want to put an alpine type R or S (i dont know the difference between the two), i also want to put two alpine speakers in the front with a new headunit. My question is how do i set this up for maximus performance. What amp do i need to power the woofer and also does the amp or the HU power the speakers? THanks

Re: New System?

HU will be too weak for front component speakers, you need an amp. Personally, I like configuration in F-body with 2 components in front, and sub in back; nothing in between
For fronts, get an amp capable at least of ~45RMS. For sub - look on what it's rated. Class-D sub amps are more efficient, but I haven't found one, that sound the way I like it.
Again, personally, I'd look at Eclipse, Focal, MB Quart or Boston Acoustic components in front. They worth it

Re: New System?

i have the system set up in my sig and i love it...it was installed 3 years ago and has worked great..i would suggest you go with a amp(s) to power the component set(s) and sub...either a 5-channel...or a 4-channel and a 1-channel(sub amp)..
