New to Stereo's some ?'s

I've been thinking about putting some subs in my car the past few days. Seeing that I know nothing about such things, could anyone recommend a basic set-up? I don't want thunder-like bass, just a bit more that the stock system won't give. I've been kinda thinking about putting two 10's in the back. Can anyone recommend a certain wattage and the size amp I would need? Also, where would I put the box, and what kind should I look for? I've seen picks were a board member put them in place of the rear seats and I liked the idea, but don't really want to remove my seats. Basically, I want a spot to put the subs that won't look tacky, and can be somewhat easily removed.
I know I've been vague, but hope I've given you enough info to help me out. Also, if anyone can post pics of their set-up to give me some ideas I would appreciate it.
Almost forget, I've seen some sub and box sets from MTX for a pretty good price, how do these stack up quality/sound wise?

Thanks for any help.

rather than a pair of tend save yourself a little time and some space and a little $$$$, and go with a single 12.

I really like the IDQv2 12's and put about 350 watts on it, in a 1 cube sealed box. If you want it a little louder, lower and don't mind a little bigger box an Adire Shiva is a great sub, 350 watts and a 1.3 cube box is fantastic!!! About the best budget subs i can think of.

That's a bit too far of a drive, thanks though. I've been checking out subthump.com (or whatever). They have some really cool boxes for f-bods. Depending on what I decide to do with the money I make this summer (it's between headers, wheels, stereo) I might get one of their boxes. I really like that they have some that allow the use of t-tops without hassle. As far as the actual subs, I'll probably look around on the internet and maybe stop by best buy and some of the local audio stores.
