First off, the stock delco HU pushes more power than you think, somewhere around like 17 or 18 watts RMS. Heck, it probably pushes more RMS power than a lot of cheap to mid priced ***. HU's out on the market today.

Secondly, the monsoon amps clips when it's going to clip and the stock HU I'm betting can push the stock monsoon amp into distortion. If that is the case then the aftermarket radio isn't going to change anything.

A lot of people seem to be fooled into thinking the whole line driver thing is made to try to get more output out of an amp, it's there for one reason and it's for the reduction of noise in the system. The amp does not work on the idea of more power into the input stage means more power on the output stage.

 

One thing you can do to try to balance the sytem is use the fader and the balance to tune things some. You can fade it forward some and also maybe to the left some to try to help things out. While you do lose some of the sub/sail panel speaker output it does help balance the system out some. That's the cheapest and easiest place to start. If it still isn't to your liking then obviously a different solution is in order.
