new head unit installed but no subwoofer sound

ok, i just got my new head unit but there is absolutely no sound coming out of the stock subs. I had the monsoon system. Is there a wire that connects to the wiring harness that powers the amp or the subs?

Most wiring harness have wires for only four speakers. That is why your fronts and the rear hatch ones work.

you can try the premium sound interface box from install edge which you can get at bestbuy its like 40 bucks, otherwise i belive you would have to rewire all the speakers.

To add an after-markey HU to the POS Monsoon system use one of these.

I just installed new HU to Monsoon system and all working great. Just two different things - I made my own wiring harness for HU (factory one should be the same) and replaced rear dual-coil speakers with single coil Rockford Fosgates 6.5" (4 Ohm). Much more bass now. Replacing front's with Alpine's SPS170A (4 Ohm) made a great improvement over stock too

Valter: Where did you find the Rockford's at? I looked everywhere for those 6 1/2 subs and they said they stopped making them.

I can't find any RFP4406 too. Nowhere. I just decided to bite a bullet and went to a local store (to make it easy to return them) and picked up Rockford Fosgate T162C speakers. They are not subs, they are 2-way coaxial, but there build quality and strong woofer cone convinced me on trying them. And, they work pretty well as mid-bass subs! More bass then my stock ones, very good on all volume levels, so I am keeping them. Actually you can force them to sound crappy if you try it too loud, but on same sound level fronts are starting sounding crappy too, so it seems to be hitting Monsoon limits (and my ears limits) - but on this point I can't hear my LM exhaust with windows down. They are in my car for like 4 weeks, and I hope they will work fine much longer

I installed some HPC-2206's in my wife's car. Granted I unstalled all aftermarket equipment and run those speakers off a Punch 501X amp, but they're good speakers just the same!
