New Front Speakers with Monsoon Stereo...
New Front Speakers with Monsoon Stereo...
I had one of my front speakers go out and I was just going to replace them for now before I install a new radio or amps or anything. My car has the Monsoon system though and nobody has an adapter plug for the front speakes since they are amplified. Is there a way to wire new speakers in the doors and have them work right without having to do a full system for now , which I am going to do later and just bypass everything stock. But right now I would just like to have music without the "blown speaker" sound. Thanks.

Re: New Front Speakers with Monsoon Stereo...
Over the weekend I wired a new speaker to replace the one I thought had blown out but it still made the same noise. Now the other speaker is starting to do the same thing, I think it could be the amp... Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any ideas?
Re: New Front Speakers with Monsoon Stereo...
My suggestion is to replace the entire POS Monsoon system with a quality after-market setup. The POS Monsoon system has proven time and time again that it is NOT a reliable system. The speakers are constantly blowing due to the huge amount of distortion produced by the HU and amp. The HU is constantly having something go wrong with it. Error codes out the ying yang, the display going crazy by displaying gibberish, the volume control going haywire, etc., etc. The headaches it causes just are NOT worth keeping the factory look of your dash. I know a lot of people don't like the look of a single DIN HU in a DIN and a half space but I would much rather have a stereo system that works than one that looks good in the dash but doesn't work at all. There are ways of getting around the look of an after-market HU in your dash. This was my solution....
