New to Electronics, some questions inside

Hi all, im new to the sound and system world and want to buy some stuff. I have a 95 t/a with ttps and wanted to get a nice sounding system, my car comes with a stock 8 speeker system so i was thinking to start it all off with 2 subs in the back, i realy liked the ones that fit inside the back trunk/hatch area where the ttops are sopposed to be stored, i was wondering if you guys recomened that kind of box for the woofers and where is the best place to get em. also what would be needed to hook up a nice sounding sub woofer system? i still have the stock head unit, would that be fine or would i need to upgrade that too? also would i need an amp or something more?? how do i know which is right for me and would leave me with alot of room for future modifiactions. also what are good brands to buy for speaker, woofers, and head units.

lastly pictures of your sytems would be great to give some ideas. thanks alot and sorry for the long post.

Take a look at my car to help give you some ideas of what you might want to do. Be sure to check out all the other Firebird installs as well.

Check mine out too, may give you some other ideas...

You can run a "line-level-converter" with your stock HU so that you can run an amplifier for your subs. Other than that you'll need RCAs, Power/Ground Wire, Remote Turn-on wire, Amplifier, Subs, and of course an Enclosure (www.subthump.com).
