Unhappy New alpine HU, no CD sound

Hey I just installed an Alpine 9805 HU in my car, and after it was all done, I coulndt get any sound from the CD.

The radio works jsut fine, but the CD will read and play the tracks, but no sound will coem out. Do any of you have any Ideas as to why this could happen?? The HU was new, so I'm assuming its not a fulty lens, especialy since it read and plays the tracks.

There are a lot more things than the "lens" that can go wrong with a CD player. If it's new (and you have it wired correctly) take it back and get another one.

Thumbs up Probelm Solved

I couldnt fit more than one "positive smiley" but I managed to fix the prob.

While I knew that I had the Antenna and remote wires correct (according to wire key), I tried to switch them arround today.

When I swaped them, still no luck. BUT I remeberd that on cars that dont have one for each, they have them fused together in a "T" fashion. So I tried to connect the Pwr Antenna and the Remote together, and then hooked up the Amp remote to it, and it worked fine.

I realy didnt want to go throught he hasstle of sendign it back to alpine and waiting probably 2 or 3 weeks for another lol.

I thought I'd post the solution in case anyoen come accros the same problem and does a search.

Sounds like the Bose.

You dont want to 'T' the remote wires. You should only use one.
