I would really like to see someone that uses 2500 watts for their Power DVC... The Power DVC can not take 2500 watts day in and day out... For burps, yes (and a lot more), but daily heavy use, it just can't thermally handle that power.
It is pretty accuratly rated for its thermal capability of 1000 watts.
putting 2500 watts to it for 24 hours on that sub would be suicide.

no, your right, they cant handle 2500 watts day in and day out.... that would be rediculous to do that... for whatever reason, i may have come off sounding like they could,,, i meant they could do that much power at max... in other words... dont go over that much power... lol, yeah putting that much power into a power dvc would be stupid...

as far as U.S. Amps goes... whatever... i love em..... if anyone else buys one due to what ive said, then ive done my part... im sure they will be pleased

 

can you guys help me out and tell me who makes amps that are 2000W+rms@1 or 2 ohms?? id like to send at least 1000 watts rms to each brahma and would like to do it via one amp instead of two.

youve said it right there...

i would go (of course) with the U.S. usa 2000 or 2000x

but which one depends on what the brahma's voice coil resistance is.

if the brahma has dual 4 ohm voice coils, you will want the usa 2000x it produces maximum output at 2 ohm stereo...

if the brahma has dual 2 ohm voice coils, you will want the usa 2000 it produces max output at 1 ohm stereo

 

well, i was hoping there was more than 2 2000W rms amps out there!

well, you could always use two JBL 1200.1's, A7 HC's, or any other pair of good amps. Otherwise the SOundstream Tarantela, Hifonics Collosus, or i believe Mmats sells a big one.

yeah, mmats has a 3000X1 i saw, and ppi apparently has a 2500X2 rms amp that retailed for $15k. i only have 3 pre outs on my eclipse deck, 1 front, 1 rear, and 1 sub, thats why i want a big amp so i can run it to the sub channel and then my two other ppi amps front and rear.

although rated at 1200@1 ohm, (not reccommeding a 4 ohm load) the KX1200.1 will do roughly 1300-1500 into a 1 ohm mono load.

 

2000 watt amps?

-Phoenix gold MS1000 (1060 watts X 2 @ 4ohms)
-Soundstream Turantula (2000 watts X 1 mono)
-JBL is comming out with a 5000 watt amp... look into that.
-US amp is covered
-I beleive Zapco might have a 2000 watt or close amp... and they are considered very high end.

Thats all I can think of without actually looking.
