Need help with circuit

I burned up a power inverter that takes 12vdc up to 280VAC @1500HZ. When i took it apart, its not complicated except i dont' know what kind of transistor I need or capacitor. It consits of 2 resistors 1 capacitor, 1 diode, 1 transistor, and the small transformer.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

You need to get the component values and/or identification codes from the parts you need to replace. Resistors use a color code to indicate value. Capacitors use a numeric code to induicate value. The diode and transistor should have their ID numbers on them.

You might try contacting the maker and asking them for a schematic of the circuit.

Its not a matter of just swappin pieces I've had 1 EE course in college and i sorta hated it, it only teaches op amp operation anyways nothing about transistors.
