need help!! building box!!

hey guys, i am needing help from you who have made your own custom boxes for fourth gens! i know most of you arent going to help me out and give away your secrets, or give me a link to sub-thumps or another place to buy boxes but right now im not able to throw up the money to purchase a pro. made box like i would like to! anyways, im looking for some plans for a box to hold two 12's that either goes in the back well, ontop behind the back seats, or inplace of the back seats! if you cant give me plans please just direct me to pictures of your own, or simple dimensions, or hints, ANYTHING will help!! thanks alot in advance!

Ok, I'll try to help here best I can.

If you work at it, you should be able to get 4 cubic feet in the full well, if you DON'T have the t-top brackets back there.

I can't remember my measurements, but here are some links to my progress with LOTS of pics of the construction...

Link 2: http://www.mtfba.org/forum/viewthread.php?tid=887

Link 4: http://www.mtfba.org/forum/viewthread.php?tid=1079

The last link shows you how the box fits in the car. There's an inch or slightly more between the end of the box and the plastic back there at the top. That plastic has a slight hump for the spare bracket I guess, so with a little trimming to get rid of that hump, a man could expand the box to that edge and get that 4 cubic feet.

My box ended up being 3.9 cubic feet internal with no subs. Only time in competition got me a 147.8 db score with USACI's AudioControl meter. I ran out of time before hitting the peak though, so I think there's more in it.

Hopefully my design will help you.

I build one VERY much like mine for a convertable to run a single 15" sub and it turned out quite well too.

Good luck!
