Need a battery terminal recomendation

Hey there,

A few months ago I put a amp/sub in my 2001 Z28. I bought an after market terminal at circuit city (Tsunami) that let me hook up the amp power wire fairly easily. It has a little threaded part in the back w/ a nut that lets me just slip the ring terminal of my power line right into place.

Unfortunately it's a crappy terminal for the battery. The shaft is too thin and too long to keep the red positive cable in place. So it loses contact with the battery all the time, making me pop the hood every day or so to adjust it so the damn car will start. Of course, this action erases all my presets as well on the aftermarket radio.

Can someone recommend a battery terminal that will work in a Z28 and allow me to connect a ring terminal from my amp?

Thanks

Re: Need a battery terminal recomendation

Found a work around. I slipped about 3/8" rubber grommet over the end of the bolt that screws into the battery. Seems to hold the lead wire harness in place.

When I pulled the terminal out, I was a little alarmed to see the damage all the arcing had done to it. There's a section of metal burned away on the bolt, presumably where it kept coming into and going out of contact with the lead wire.
