?? To much bass in front & middle speakers
?? To much bass in front & middle speakers
I was told that my Monsoon HU is putting out to much bass to the front door & rear seat speakers. So, sometimes they really vibrate & sound bad. Sometimes they sound good. The guy said not to use the auto tone. To adjust the bass/treble manually.
The speakers are not stock - they are Polk brand (don't know what model) and were in the car when I purchased it.
So my question is - do I change the head unit to after market or try to do something different with the speakers??
Thanks in advance for the advise

Good choice on a deck. I have the DEH-5900IB (the non premier version) of that deck in my 98 Z. I haven't replaced the stock monsoon speaker setup yet, but the deck alone made a HUGE difference in the sound quality. I believe that the two decks are nearly identical in feature sets, and the 5900IB has a huge number of tweaking options for the price. 7 band EQ, high pass and sub filters, loudness (though I never use it), SLA adjustment, etc. The only gripe that I have with mine is that if you intend to hook a satellite receiver to the deck, it cannot display both artist and song title at the same time (this is an issue with the satellite receiver only, as mp3 text and Ipod controls show this fine)
I got my deck from crutchfield for 209, and they threw in the Ipod adapter cable for free (along with the usual free mounting kit and wiring harness, if you are going to use the stock amp...dont know if those aftermarket speakers you got have an aftermarket amp to go with them)

I pulled it out of Goldie (the 98) when she got recked in April & would use it again, but I want the CD player in the dash now (nice). Plus the new ones have more options for now & the future.
I imagine that the speakers are still working off the Monsoon setup. I'm going for it, it will be good, can't wait
