MTX Stealth box

Hey guys,

I'm looking to put some subs in my car, was gonna go with dual 12s, but keeping my hatch space would be nice too. Also, the weight..

Was wondering if anyone has experience with either JL or MTX stealth boxes (single 10")

Just curious how they sound, and fit. Am looking for bass, but does not have to be super loud, just a good sound.

Thanks,

Igor.

Re: MTX Stealth box

I used to have the JL Vantage Stealthbox. Now I'm running two SubThump Stealthboxes. As long as you aren't after loud booming bass that can be heard blocks away you'll be happy. A Stealthbox type enclosure doesn't have a lot of breathing room for the sub to produce really LOUD BOOMING bass like a larger enclosure would have. I like a more balanced sound where the subwoofer doesn't overwhelm the rest of the stereo system. The Stealthbox enclosures with 10" Alpine Type-S subwoofers do that for me quite nicely.
