Mounting depth for front speakers?

What's the maximum depth you can have on a set of front speakers on a 4th gen Camaro?

You should have a little over 3" of clearance in the doors.

Re: Mounting depth for front speakers?

Even though this info is almost 7 years old, I'd like to say thanks! I'm finally getting rid of the Bose speakers (have already replaced the head unit years ago). I'm going with Rockford Fosgate Punch speakers and wanted to make sure they'd fit. Mounting depth is only 2.25" (on 6.75") or 1.93" (on 6.5") so I should be fine. I already have a pair of the P1675's (6.75") in the sail panels and they sound great, but the stock Bose speakers have a little distortion at higher volumes. (Yes, I have the RF's running off the deck, and the Bose's running through a Scosche adapter.) Phones aren't ringing here at work, maybe I'll go take some measurements to see what'll fit.
