monsoon upgrade

What I have is the monsoon system that I have purchased. What I want to do is to put it in the car, which has the stock stereo system. The problem is that I have the wiring harness for the stereo/amp, but dont have the slightest clue as to where this mess of wires goes. IF anyone has a wiring schematic, or just happens to know off of the top of your head, shoot me an email. Thanks alot, any help is appreciated.

Honestly, you really should have gone aftermarket. How much did you end up paying for the monsoon?

If your car is a 2000 it should already be wired to accept the POS Monsoon stereo. GM wouldn't use 2 entirely different wiring harnesses just because one car had the POS Monsoon and another didn't.

The install on a monsoon is quite invasive and it would be a better use of your time to go with aftermarket stuff. As long as you didn't spend too much on the system you should be able to sell it pretty easily on eBay, or you can part it out to all the people that are asking for it since they have blown their's.

It is entirely possible to keep your stock head unit Monsoon or not and add all aftermarket equipment. Using a PAC OEM-1 adapter you can add a 4 chanel amp and use the front to drive components in the front doors and the rear to drive midbass driver in the sail panels. You can even add a monoblock amp and a sub in addition to the 4ch, all this while maintaining the stock head unit.

Thanks guys. I didnt pay a whole lot for the monsoon, maybe $250 for the harness, speakers, and back panels. The only reason that I bought the harness, was because I looked under the rear panels and my car isn't wired for the 5th and 6th speakers. Anyways, thanks for the advice.
