Unhappy Monsoon trouble after r-e collision

Be forewarned, I'm justa girl that loves her Camaro. Bought it new March 2002. It's my third and best one...midnight blue Z -loaded(well, with stock stuff). May 2002 was rear-ended by another Z, bad enough that my pipes were bent under and bumper was hangin by a thread. Have had a variety of woes since then, but am mostly upset by the problems with the sound system. The car is all stock, so it's the cd/monsoon speaker system and steering wheel remotes. Since the accident, the system sounds like total crap. The right passenger rear speaker recently went out, and was replaced by the dealer. Now the rest of the speakers crack and pop. Dealer states this is WAD (workin as designed). I think they're just tired of me being in there.
So, I come to you, and my question is this...where the heck is the amp? I'm feeling like the amp, which I've been told is somewhere in the trunk by the spare, was probably trashed in the accident. I have no way of proving if it's damaged...or do I?
I welcome any and all comments and suggestions (please be kind) outside of the obvious 'go back to the dealership'. I need techy jargon for when I return.
Need more info than I've supplied, just ask, and I'll do the best I can.

Are the speakers popping when you hit bumps?
Does it do it only on musical peaks?
Does it pop irregardless of volume?
If you're near DFW I'll take a look at if for if you want. The amp is under the panel that covers the spare, basically towards the front of the car a bit. All you can see is the black panel it's mounted on without removing it.

Thanks for your reply
The speakers pop at random, regardless of the volume, but especially when it's louder. I listen to several types of music. If I put No Doubt in it plays fine, but sounds a little 'tinny'. I put JLo in and the bass sounds smothered, and the front speaker in the driver door pops, and humms. I put in Montgomery Gentry and the bass is also smothered, and the rear passenger speakers buzz. It's all very random, but seems mostly related to bass. I can't adjust it at all. When I do, it makes the bass sound more muffled.
If just the radio is on, there doesn't appear to be any problem with the system at all.
Nothing noticable with the sound system when I go over bumps, but, of course, the noise that comes from the back end would probably cover it anyway
I'm a state away from you in Arizona, or I'd take you up on that offer to check it out.
I'm going to look for that amp, but I have no idea what to do when I find it

I would try taking it to another dealer as you will need to know a good bit about electronics to judge whether or not the amp is damaged once you get it apart. I'm not sure what is going on exactly since you're problem seems to be only with the CD player. Sounds like a problem with the HU since the radio seems to play fine. I would like to help more, but I would really need to hear it myself to see what is going on. Good luck.
