I just bought a 2002 Z28 Convertible and it has the monsoon system and optional 12 disc changer. Everything that i've read so far says that the system comes with 8 speakers and an amp....i can only find 4 speakers and no amp. I'm assuming the speaker issue is just cause its convertible and not hatch, but where is that amp hiding? thanks for the help

 

GM considers each individual driver a speaker. So you have 4 woofers and 4 tweeters.

The Monsoon amp was located above the rear wheel on the passenger side of my car. It was mounted to a plastic plate and was on the fender side of the plate. I don't know if it's different for rag tops or not.
