A friend of mine with '01 z28 has the identical Monsoon system I have in my FB. He just called me and asked if I ever noticed a small light under where it says volume. I told him I hadn't noticed it but I'd take a look at it. Well, the FB is home and I'm at work and I figured one of you geniuses would know what he's talking about and save me from unwrapping the FB tonight.

 

I've noticed it too, no clue what it does.

Anxious to find out.

 

I'm guessing it has something to do with the alarm.

 

If you turn off the key and the light flashes on the HU it means that a Theft Lock code has been entered into the HU. If you remove power to the HU you will have to enter the security code to unlock it. If the light doesn't flash then there is no code entered.
