monsoon + high level input amp???

monsoon + high level input amp???
Simple qestion, hopefully.
My sister in law has a 2000 sunfire with the Monsoon system.
Can I take the rear speaker lines out off of the deck and go into a high level input type amp and slap the amp and a set of decent speakers in without any problems???
