Monsoon Help

I have recently decided to invest into a quality sound system to replace my Monsoon. I have spent close to $3,000 and can not get my stereo to play while the car is moving. I know the Monsoon is a crazy system but this is irritating me. I have a top of the line sound system that only wants to work while I am parked. If anyone has any ideas of why this is happening please let me know. Thank you in advanced.

Re: Monsoon Help

I don't follow you here. Do you have an after-market setup or are you still using the POS Monsoon system? You talk about having a $3K system then you say that you know the Monsoon is a "crazy system" that is "irritating" you. Which is it?

If the stereo works fine when you are parked but shuts down when you start the car I would say that you have the system wired wrong somehow. What did you use to make your connections to the car's electrical system?

Re: Monsoon Help

I apologize for sounding silly. I was a little upset at the time I posted this. I bought a Clarion DMZ945MP, with JL Audio XR650 CSI, JL Audio VR650 CXI, and JL Audio W3v2 12inch subs. I have two amps one pushing the front 4 and another pushing the subs. When ever I put the car in first gear or reverse and go to move the sound quits but the radio is still on.

Re: Monsoon Help

When you put it in gear, and your HU stays on, but the sound quits, check the amp lights to make sure they have power. If not, make sure you have the remote wire attatched correctly. Usually this is a blue/white wire off the deck that says "power cont" or something similar. Run a wire off this back to the amp's remote turn on leads. If the turns on and stays on with the ignition, this should solve it.

Let us know if it helps.

Re: Monsoon Help

I took it to an Audio guy in town and he re-did my power lead and problem fixed. Thanks for the help!
