I own a 2002 Z-28 convertible with the Monsoon System. One of my door speakers is blown and I want to replace the HU anyway so I can plug my MP3 player into the system. I have an amp and sub that have been sitting in the garage collecting dust.... anyway my question is where is the Monsoon amp located? If I'm not going to use it, I might as well get rid of the extra weight.

I don't have a ragtop, but my amp is over the RR wheel wheel well. Where are you going to put the new amp?

I'm not sure where I'll put it yet. I need to get a new head unit first then work it our. The car audio gods have smiled upon me and the sub-enclosure I have fits perfectly in the bottom of my trunk.

I found it, it's on the RR side in front of the spare. It should be extra fun getting it out
