Question Monsoon

They say that there is 10 speaker system in my car i can only see 8 i have 2001 TA WS6 i see 2 by the bottom door 1 next to rear seat and 1 in the back hatch area thats only 4 on each side
for a total of 8 where are the other 2 located at ?
and are they supposed to come with subwoofers if so where are they at ? bought car brand new and is all stock.
on the window sticker it says 500 watt monsoon 10 speaker subwoofer system where are they ?

Soome of your speaker grills have 2 speakers behind them. If you remove the rear sail panel covering the spare tire, you'll see 2 speakers there. The "full range" speaker, and the "tweeter"

Talking You T/A bastages !!

Us Camaro guys get ripped off w/ only 8 speakers.


Actually, I think it would have been neat if they had put 2 speakers up in the dash .


Not like it was for lack of room !


My other question/comment is that my '99 SS says it has a 200W Monsoon, where my '99 T/A had a 500W .

Wonder if they are truly different, or just a HP rating kinda deal ?

What about the subwoofer they say it comes with ?

when you open your hatch look on each side you will see a speaker cover on each side. Those are them each side has 1 4" sub and 1 tweeter. If you dont have these than I must warn you that you do not have the monsoon sound system....

Yea i have them, i didnt think that they consideredthat a sub.

i dont know how anybody could ever consider a 4" speaker a subwoofer. And no those werent considered subs from the factory.....so I take that bet of $200million.......

Yes they are go to a GM Dealer and ask em I had to replace one They are a sub because there is no tweeter in the middle of the speaker like a 2 way or 3 way etc speaker has

So its a component speaker missing a tweeter......doesnt make it a sub.

It is a small sub called a midrange, the 6.5 speakers are also basically a midrange too.
