Momentary switch wiring

Anyone know how I could wire a momentary switch in the console to allow lock/unlock from inside the car besides the remote? I put an alarm/keyless entry system in a friends car and the previous installer had it wired that way. Thanks

Re: Momentary switch wiring

Assuming this is for your car all you would have to do is wire up whatever switch you buy to ground the red/black wire in the car to lock the doors. To unlock you will need two relays (should already be installed if you have an aftermarket keyless) and wire each as a 5-wire setup with the two unlock wires in the car. Then just use the same switch to send terminal 85 on both the relays to ground to unlock the doors. Each relay would be wired like so:

85 -- momentary switch (goes to ground when pressed)
86 -- +12 volts constant
30 -- motor side of cut unlock wire
87a -- car side of cut unlock wire
87 -- +12 volts constant

EDIT: The unlock wire colors are tan for driver's door and gray/black for the passenger door.
