Mobile Audio at home?
Mobile Audio at home?
Hey everyone,
I've come to find myself with an extra deck, some old speakers, and I'm thinking, is there a way to dump this all into my room? I have a TV speaker now, 1" paper, so I'm thinking anythings an improvement, would there be any way to throw the old cd player into my room? I could hook it all up but how would I power it? I've heard of computer power supplys working, but how would I do that? how would I ground?
Thanks for any help
Gord

Re: Mobile Audio at home?
hopefully its enough power isnt so much the 12v but the amps. Ive never tried a deck but back when i was like 16 i built a sub enclosure and couldnt find a home sub amp for under $1000 so i bought a car amp. (without even having a car lol) and I went and bought one of the power supplys from radio shack but turns out it wasnt enough amps and the one with the amps i needed to run it was like $300 might as well just by a home stereo if thats the case.

A deck will work just fine. I've done it. Just to see if I could, and to use it as a dx radio. If you start adding things on, such as amps and subs, it becomes a different story.
