Making HU shopping easier?

I haven't bought a head unit since about 2000. Well, I bought a newer Pioneer last year, but it was a shelf model at a local place and it was something I really didn't research.

But anyway. Is there anything to make head unit shopping a little easier? And good non-bias review channels on youtube? This is almost overwhelming with all the new tech out there. I would like iPod control and 3 RCA outs. 2 front, 2 rear and a sub.

I REALLY like the Alpine Imprint feature though! Maybe I ought to just save up for a 7" Alpine reciever/screen deal.

Help?

Re: Making HU shopping easier?

Try Crutchfield's configurator.

Man, I really miss the older Pioneer DEH-P symmetrical head unit face plates. Can't stand rotary volume *****, but with multi-function and all, I guess it's needed.
