I need to get a remote for my 1996 camaro's security system. I didnt get a remote when I bought it, and everything that I have read about getting replaacement remotes says that I need to find the main box of the security system. So I was wondering if anyone knew where this box is exactly, and how hard is it to get to. Thanks.

It's here, under the passenger side kick panel:

But that doesn't matter. Just go to the dealer, give them the last 8 digits of your VIN, and they will get you the right part number. Don't pay them to program it for you though, just use this:
