Question Looking for a 4 ohm load

I'm getting a single Kicker L7. It'll be all that is being run from my amp. I want to see 4 ohms, but this is my first time dealing with a DVC sub... Do I want the 4 ohm model?

you want either the 8ohm or 2ohm models. If you get the 8 ohm you can run the wires in parrellel. If it is the 2 ohm run the wires in series. That will give you a 4 ohm load for your amp.

get the dual 2 ohm model. this means you have 2, 2 ohm coils. wire it in series and it will be 4 ohms

Well I'm gonna ask the dumb question first
How many channels is your amp??

Mono: Above is correct
2 Channel: Dual 4 Ohm will work (1 VC per channel)

if he gets a 2 channel, and a sub he runs at 4 ohms, he can bridge it, so either will work fine, infact if he wants a mono amp, the dual 4ohm will work better to produce the 2 ohm load

Oh sorry... Yeah it's a 2 channel USAcoustics amp. Rated at 600w bridged at 4 ohms. I had it running 2 of my Kicker 15" XPLs back in the day... It was a great amp, so I've kept it for quite a while.
