Has anybody tried the Kicker SSMB6? It seems like it would be a good mid bass driver for the sail panels.

 

What's your price range, there is ALOT better than Kicker for mid-bass drivers. Also check out Second Skin and Rammmat for sound deadning, significantly increases the mid-bass.

 

Cheap. lol. I'm not looking for a show winning setup, just something better than Monsoon. I want to avoid adding a lot of weight, also. So no big subs, boxes and huge amps.

 

How cheap?

 

I'm thinking no more than 5-600 bucks and i've already got a pair of amps to use.

 

500-600 for some components?? WHOA, haha get the speakers I have coming to me. www.audiojunkies.com Look up the Rainbow Germaniums they are $555. They will blow Kickers best speakers out of the water. Mid-bass on them is SICKENING, gunna sound like you have subs in your doors.

It may be hard to get them though, they are hard to get speakers, I would e-mail the guy. But even the Rainbow SLC Kicks would blow Kickers best speakers away and they are $319.

 

my bad... i guess i forgot to mention that i need a head unit also. I've still got the craptastic Monsoon deck in it. lol. That 5-600 needs a deck and speakers to go with it.

Those are some pretty bad *** lookin' speakers though. Maybe even the cheaper coax Rainbows would be good?

 

Get a CD3000 (Eclipse) and Rainbow SLC Kicks that'd be around $600. That'd sound pretty bad-***.

I'm sure they would be, haven't heard much about their co-axials.
