I plan on purchasing the amplifier listed below. It states that it runs at 1200 watts at one ohm. Does that mean that it can only power a single woofer? If not, what sub type would be best for the amp (dual 2-ohm, or 4 ohm)?

You can run more than one sub off that amp...You will need to get either one dual 2-ohm sub, or 2 dual 4-ohm subs to be able to use all 1200 watts

 

Good amp most birth out near 1500 watts. They are very underrated. You will be pleased. I would go with 2 dual 4 ohm Kicker L7 12 inchers.
