Keyless start
Keyless start
So I was thinking, how can I make it so that I can start the car with the push of a button and still keep other ppl from starting it... this ofcourse without spending too much money...
Then it hit me, what if you could change the crank for one of those starter buttons from the honda s2000... but you would still have the problem of someone just breaking in and starting it... lucky for us, there is the Vats system.
Ok, so how to bypass it with not much hassle and only when I wanted to. Also, not make it a switch which anyone can access. So I drawed this diagram.
Diagram
Basically what it does, is that once you push the unlock button twice (on the remote), the system bypasses VATS and once you press the lock button (on the remote), it stops bypassing. (also, not showed in the diagram is the circuit gonna set the car in pre-crank mode, like when you turn your key in the On postion).
What is left is to make the button crank the engine. But that is easy...
tell me what you think, maybe I missed something.

Re: Keyless start
I think it would work. Dont know if id go through all that trouble. another solution is that you could just put the key in and turn the ignition on and than use the button to start the car. But that wouldn't be as cool
