Thumbs up Kenwood Sirius Satellite INSTALLED!

Went to ABT Electronics over in Glenview, Illinois (www.abtelectronics.com) last week to get some prices on a Kenwood Sirius Satellite head unit because they also have a promotion where you get the Kenwood Sirius Tuner for .01 cent. Can't beat that!

Anyway, I got the Kenwood KDC-X569 Sirius/Am/FM/CD/MP3 head unit (display model) for $195.05, including the Kenwood antenna, Kenwood Tuner, Delco-Bose module, install kit, and labor, the system came out to just under $440 total. The antenna, actually, was mounted on the inside right corner of my dashboard, which eliminated the need to have it outside on the roof.

Overall, Sirius rocks! ALL the music channels are 100% commercial free and come in super clean and clear! The amount of music genres that it has is incredible! I didn't have a problem finding any of my favorite music once on and bouncing from channel to channel. The 100% commercial free music was the kicker for me over XM Satellite. Why pay for Satellite Radio if the music still has commercials? (XM has commercial music.) Lots of exclusive programming is on Sirius, too, including all the NFL games come next year.

Sirius Rocks!!!!!!!

I got it hooked up with my folks system in their truck. Since we activated it together and paid for it together, the first system was $12.95 a month and the second only came out to $6.95 a month. Plus, since we paid for one year up front we got one month free each. (Normally the system is $12.95 a month.)

Cool deal. I just got my XM setup running last night. Satellite radio is so great. It would be hard to get rid of it now and go back to FM.

As of Feb 1st XM no longer has commercials.
