Keep stock bose system w/ aftermarket amps?

Anybody try this.

I like the look of the stock bose radio in my 94 z28 but 2 of the 3 amps went bad on the speakers. Has anybody tried using a small amp and installing aftermarket speakers?

I know i should probably replace the entire system but i'm trying to keep it looking stock. I really dont want to buy old speakers and amps and have the same nonsense again.

YUP.... I ran Amps and speakers off the Bose Unit for while. You'll need to install a 'Line Out' Converter:
PAC SOEM4 Line Out converter @ OnlineCarStereo.com
PAC SOEM4 Picture/Details
PAC SOEM4 Instructions

Then you can run your amps off the RCA Connections and adjust sound levels to each speaker.

You'll then need to run new wire connections to all the speakers directly from the Amps to the speakers.

I've been looking @ Power Acoustik BAMF Series Amps to replace my older US Acoustics Amps.

Every review I can find says the BAMF Series is pretty good for the price.
