My wife got me an iSimple iPod interface from Peripheral Technology for my birthday. As we are going on a long drive tomorrow I 'installed' it tonight.

Instead of taking apart the dash and plugging the interface directly into the connector I found the CD-Changer port under the flap that covers the convertible top valve and plugged the interface in.

According to the website the DIP switches 3 and 8 must be set to on (default: all DIP switches off). The website also says to use the PXHGM1 harness but this harness does not fit the plug in the trunk (maybe it fits the radio). The PXHGM2 harness on the other hand fits perfectly.

The only down side is that it doesnt seem possible to start and stop the ipod from the radio, at least i didnt find out how yet. I have to press play but then can skip forward and backward with the steering wheel controls.

On the whole I am very happy with the solution and at 99 bucks it is a much better deal than buying the changer on ebay...
