intallation of a flipdown and dvd player

this isnt for my z28 but for my 2003 trailblazer LS. maybe you guys can shed some light on it for me....

I need help with the wiring for the tv tuner/diversity unit and the dvd player.

on the tuner i have the following:

the color wires I have are
red
yellow
black
white
blue

the red and yellow have fuses on them so I assume those are the constant and switched power(but which is which?). I also believe the black would be the ground.

Is there some sort of color coded standard for these?

also, what would be the best place to tie the constant and switched power into?

the dvd player only has a fused wire and ground. should the power on the dvd be switched? can it be tied into the same location as the switched for the tv? if not, where?

yeah...when everyone here knows Camaro's, I guess it might be hard to get answers for a SUV. General audio questions about amps and stuff like that would probably get response...but I'm guessing it's just because your talking vehicle specifics about a Trailblazer (nice ride by the way).

Anyways...you may want to try here. www.caraudioforum.com
You might have some luck there.

What kinda system is it? I assume you dont have the manuals. There isnt really a standard, some companies use yellow as constant (the majority) and some use it as switched. Doesnt happen all the often, but it throws me for a loop when they do.

As far as getting power, I reccomend the ignition harness. There are a few 7mm's to drop the knee panel, then a few more holding in a metal plate. Then you have to look for 4 10mm's 2 on each side. Theyre kind of a bitch to get to, youll need some what of a long extension. Once you get all of those, youll see a nice bundle of wires. Theres also a few factory grounds, and pleanty of nice metal for your own.

red = 12v
pink = ignition
orange = accesory

I reccomend trying the DVD player into a switched lead. This way you dont have to worry about leaving it on. You could always throw a switch on it, and I reccomend a relay for that.

Youll also need a RF modulator, unless youre fine with (if you even have them) wireless head phones.

Ive done quite a few at work, so let me know if you need anything else. Id reccomend searching for an owners/install manual online some where. I havent seen a white/blue wire with any of the systems I have done. Heres a few pics of my latest.
