installing foglights

my left foglight just went out, and I have a new bulb. How the heck do I change it?

You got two options. You can go through the bottom or just squeeze your hand from on top. I usually remove my headlight housing. Makes it a lot easier.

http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/GuidesTop.htm Theres a foglight tutorial on there. I just take off the housing and change the blub and put it back. Be careful with those pins, they want to make their new home inside the bumper .

tutorial is for 93-97. I have a 98.

how do you get to it from the bottom, and if you remove the headlight, how do you make sure it's lined up straight when you put it back in? Also, are there any special tools needed?

I never really did it from the bottom. Everybody told me too so I tried and no luck. There should be like four or five bolts holding a black panel on the bottom. Just unscrew them and you have access to them. I did that and for some reason my panel did not want to come off. So I just undid the one 10mm screw that holds the headlight in and wrestled with it for a bit and it came off. Complete access to the foglight and corner bulbs too. Swiched it then just wrestled the headlight back on and was done with it. They are still aligned since they can only sit back in a certain way. When you open your hood, you will see what I mean. The headlight has two tabs that you need to slide in order to get the housing out. I know it sounds like a lot, but it's not.

Sorry about that, I didn't realize you had a 98.
