Installing factory bose cd player

So I have some alpine hibbity gibbity head unit in my car, the person I bought it off of gave me back the stock cd player, so finally I get around to reintstalling the factory deck and gettinf rid of that confusing fugly alpine unit.

When I first put it in, I got alittle display but it kept coming on and going off again real fast? Now theres no display, I can eject and put in a cd though. Theres a mess of wiring in there, all looks like an adaptor, I found two connections to go into the stock cd player(ones like an ac adaptor plug in, and the other has 3 connectors in one) and theres one more on the back of the stock player, but I can't find any wires back there?

Can some one show me the back of there stock delco bose cd player? Or help me getting it to work?

sorry can't help, but you're moving backwards! The factory Bose stereos are a huge POS.

Well then is there anyway to get the bose face on the alpine head unit, that alipine head unit is one of the fugliest things I;ve ever seen. If anyone in the long island area wants to come to my place and fix it, there will be a cd-7894 alpine head unit for you for a 100 bucks(450 new).

Probably just gonna take it to a stereo shop on wedensday when I am off of work.

Hey could you tell me how to remove the moldings and which bolts will allow this. i am trying to install a BOSE too and just do not know how to take it out. Also, how do I avoid the lockup if it is unplugged wrong?

Take 4 screws out from the panel on the steering column, unplugg the defrost button connector, set panel aside. Then you'll see two screws on the right of the steering wheel, to the left of the radio, take those out, open the glove box, to the right of the radio going down is 3 screws, take them out, then the cover comes off, set it aside. Then on each side of the radio is two nuts, take em off, then theres two more screws holding a bracket on the radio, take them off, radio slides right out.

I don't know how to aviod the lockup if its unplugged wrong, i think I probably caused mine to lock up actually. Its not hard to do, but from some reason I hit a snag, :-(

Thanks man, that answers it all to the lockup part. Does anyone else know about the lockup? Sorry if I'm hijacking your thread.

Yea, well time to take my thread back, does anyone have a wiring diagram of this? I've been beaten the **** out of my car to listen to the exhaust since theres nothing else to listen to lol.

I was able to get it to work the display, for alittle while, but I still can't get any sound out of the speakers, I can't even get sound out of the alpine anymore? Will best buy be able to fix this or something?
