Installing amplified Bazooka to fac HU/Monsoon
I just purchased an 8" amplified Bazooka for my 02 SS. All I want to do is stick it in the trunk and ride. I'm not really interested in changing anything else. It has both speaker level inputs and RCA's, but Bazooka reccomends that you use the speaker level ins for some reason. In my particular case, this would actually be better for me seeings how the Monsoon HU has no RCA's. I would like to use input from the rear speakers, but to my knowledge, you can't run wire from one amp into another. So, I need speaker level input from somewhere, and the rest is a piece of cake. It even has its on remote turn on built in! Power and ground are easy, and that should be it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Jason

Speaker level inputs means you take the output from an amplifier and feed it into the speaker level inputs of your Bazooka tube.
The POS Monsoon amp even uses speaker level inputs from the HU's amplifier.

So your saying I can use an amplified signal to go into another amp? Also, can I just splice into the rear speaker insted of disconecting them completly. And I was going to get a Profile QX8 crossover to sound out highs, is this acceptable a crap?

I guess I'm more or less used to the sub being in the rear hatch. This is how it was on my 96. I didn't really think about the tube having its own crossover. I would guess with it having its own amp it would. I'll look into that, and find out about the rear speaker frequencies.

Thats why you need to tap the signal before the amp rather than after it.

I just purchased a bazook El8a-Hp and was wondering if someone could help me a little. I needed to know how to run the power wires to the battery all the way from the trunk. Any help would appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

To get the power wire from the engine bay to inside the car, remove the pcm (2 10mm bolts I believe) and look down behind it. See that wire gormet? feed the power wire as much as you can through there. Then go to the inside of the car. Remove the passenger side footwheel molding. Theres like 5 or 6 screws then it should just pull out with some persuasion. Now feel for the wire up near the firewall and where you see all the other wires up there. Now that you got that done, you need to remove the passenger side interior in the back, if you want it hidden. To do this, remove the cover for the spare tire area then pull down the back seat. Remove the bolt thing that holds the back seat up. I just used an allen wrench big enough to fit in there and it worked ok...then remove the hook for hanging up clothes in the back seat. Just put in a flat-head screwdriver and push up and pull out should come out that way. Next, pull forward (toward the front of the car) and out (towards the driverside of the car) and that big piece should just come on out. Now just run your power wire alongside the door area and into the back hatch. Just let the rest lay in the spare tire area until you get ready to use it. Now put back in the back passenger side interior by reversing the steps and the passenger side footwheel molding. Make sure you keep all the power wire behind them when you put it in so that you can't see it when your done. Now put back in the pcm and route the wire to where you need it. Make sure to keep it away from the engine and things.
