I bought my car used, so I have no idea if I have the Monsoon, or Bose system in it. How do I find out, I want to add an aftermarket system, but want to know If I have to disconnect any factory amps.

Also, when I turn my radio off, I hear a clink sound coming from the rear passenger side of the car. Is this normal, or could it be the factory amp turning off.

Need help, PLEASE.

 

Okay, I think I found the factory amplifier. It's a little black box in the rear passenger side of the car, behind the spare tire. Is it an amplifier? it looks like one. When I add an aftermarket system, is the factory amp going to interfere, or should I disconnect it completely. But first I want to know if this is the amp.

Im confused... i was positive i did not have the monsoon system, but that amp is in my car....100% identical to those pics. you guys sure???

 

Yeah, I heard that if your HU says "MONSOON" on it then you have the monsoon system. Mine dosn't say anything on it. Hmmmm.
