Ignition Switch Wire (Red) Help

I have replaced my ignition switch twice.....the first time was believed to be the alarm was plugged into my ignition switch which was causing it to melt...so they relocated it. And now they notice that the red wire that goes to the ignition switch is getting really hot...what could be causing this? what does that red wire go to? Does it have anything to do with my accessories such as heated seats? could the new msd coil cause it?
