I know this is stupid... but I am replacing my ignition buzzer with...

...a sound clip of the whoosing noise Knight Rider makes! No more piercing chirp when I leave my keys in the ignition and open the door. Just something silly to keep my busy... if anyone wants to do something similar I can draw up a schematic.

That sounds like a great idea .I hate that sound they make.It would be cool to put some clips from Full Metal Jacket in there.

I was considering the mario theme. If I drove a knight rider replica I'd make it do that everytime I open the doors!

haha howd you even find it? i remember my friend tour his dash apart trying to rip it out in his 86 TA.

I used my ears. Multimeter definately helps.

I didn't draw one up yet, but I used a ISD25XX chip. Its a simple sampler with loop function and built in amp. Hook up a decent speaker and you are good to go. Schematic is in the datasheet. The Two XXs are the length you need, probably 16 or 32 would be good.
