That box is damn expensive for what it is. Probably because it's a drop in box. I'm a big fan of homemade boxes.
anyways, 1.0 cubic feet per sub, you might get away with that. ED recommend 1.5 cubes per sub, so you might get a tad peaky bass response. If you're ok with that, then your system should be fine. Or you can add a pound of polyfil per chamber and you should be ok. I still think it's small though (then again, i'm a big fan of big boxes
).
The k-series should suit that box better than the O-series, but sound quality might be a tad lower than the O's.
But if you like that box, then i guess that's all there is to it.

Cable,
You'll be fine with that setup. In fact I doubt your stock speakers will be able to keep up. Down the road, you may want to consider some nice component speakers for the front. Also, eD 12s are known for sounding great in small boxes clear down to .5 cu.ft. Therefore, you will not need any polyfil that is for sure. I saw a post though, where eD was having difficulty with a supplier and may have to re-design some of their subs or something. Hope you get them. Will make for a killer setup.

in any this case, the O-series like big boxes, or bigger boxes. Any sub will work in a small box, but getting the frequency response that is suitable is a different thing. The O-series will work, but put one in and i guarentee you that you'll get a lot of peaky bass response. It's the nature of that sub. It was designed to be used a big box or an infinite baffle. Call up Mr. Ponte if anyone is not sure. Quick look at the Qts and its not a super small box subwoofer. But you can get away with 1.0 cubic feet per subwoofer after displacement. But for the heck of it, polyfil is only $2 a bag.
I'm gonna have to go with gsteg on this one. I do not like the sound of small boxes and the reason most people (IMO) go with prefab boxes is because of looks and you dont have to put forth the effort of building one. So "bro" nobody's nokin what you like and everybody can have their own opinion. Thats all i've got ta say about that and to cable I would say go with the k series for that box (you definetely dont wanna have to small of a box imo) and with the matching amp it should look good and hit hard.

I always suggest guys look beyond the price for a moment before making any predispositions about this box. It has a lot more features than just playing bass. For one, it is made out of a very expensive imported light-weight 3/4" mdf, which weighs a good 15-20 lbs lighter than similar boxes built out of regular 5/8" mdf. Every pound counts. Sure, I could buy the cheaper heavier, thinner mdf. And that would bring the price down. But why? Doing that would make it heavier and less sturdy.
The standard version has more air space than any other box on the market. It has a place to accommodate t-tops which is one reason why it is desired so much. It has the vinyl cover which costs a lot more (20 bux per yard vinyl vs. $6 a yard for carpet)than a simple carpet job or bed-liner bath. And it comes from somebody who actually owns an f-body and really knows the car and can answer people's questions about subs and amps and ports and air space and everything in-between. I see this as a complete package you're getting instead of 'just a box'. Find one of those companies on ebay who sell those $49 boxes and ask them what subs they would recommend or if they can make their box fit two 12w7s. Probably not. Or call up q-logic and see if they can emboss a Trans Am logo on the top of your box instead of stamping that rediculuos Q on there. They would laugh at you, whereas I would say no problem. What's that really worth? To some...priceless
You really outta be glad that I'm around and you can get some of this stuff instead of just criticizing the price. Because when I'm gone, none of my stuff will be around any more and who are you gonna call up and say hey, can I an embossed trans am logo on my t-top box? I sure don't know anyone else.I remember back when BJ was making his 12" fiberglass stealths. A lot of guys thought what he charged was way too much. But we let him down and didn't support him enough and he had to stop making them. And after he stopped making them, that's when everybody realized they missed the boat and wished they'd gone ahead and got one when they could. And if you could get one now, I bet you'd gladly pay him more than what he charged before. Even the used ones are still holding value.
So if you'll excuse me, I have to finish designing a 10W7 box for a Erik's camaro vert.

Hey guys thanks a lot for all your posts. Sorry i created such a large dispute. Lets all be friends. We are all F-body owners. Now if some of u own stangs or ricers then maybe we have something to argue about...
Thanks again

I don't care how much it costs. I wanted it for a custom project I'm working on. Just wondering if I could find it somewhere local.....
