I would be hesitant about buying the Kenwood amp. I think that Kenwood makes some very good HU's but I feel that their amps are lacking. Whatever you do don't go by their "MAX" power specs. They are totally useless. Always go by the RMS power rating. If you insist on using that amp you would want the sub with dual 4ohm voice coils wired in parallel. This will give you a 2ohm load for the amp to drive. If you go with a different amp make sure that it can handle a 2ohm load.

As LS1 said, I wouldn't go with a kenwood amp... At the Audio shop I work at, we tested a few different Kenwood amps and that amp and the one right below it, put out MAYBE 105w CLEAN... after that, sure it might bump out 500w, but its not clean power at all. You'd never hear it until you got really loud but the little bit of distortion will over time damage your sub. If you are going to run one sub, go with the JL amp too... beleive me its worth the money you'll be much happier, the JL 250/1 monoblock amp is perfectly matched for that sub, and for 2 of them run the 500/1...

Just my $.02
