Re: How to run new wire to speakers

To run my wires I removed the passenger seat, center console and rear seats. You'll also need to remove the door trim panels, the kick panels and the strip on the floor that runs under the door when it's closed. I start by feeding the wire thru the door and into the rubber boot that leads to the kick panel area. I used a wire coat hanger to run the wires thru the boot. Tape the wire to the hanger and start feeding it thru the door and into the rubber boot. Use one hand to push the hanger thru and the other hand to help guide it thru the boot so you don't poke a hole thru it. Once you get it into the kick panel area the rest is easy. My RCA cables and remote turn ON lead run down the center of the car under the center console. The speaker wires run down each side of the car under the trim panels. My 12V power cable runs along the passenger side of the car.

BTW, don't be surprised if your Infinity speakers don't sound too good even with an amp driving them. Poor midbass performace is why I got rid of my Infinity speakers. I had them high passed at 80Hz @ 18dB/octave and they still distorted badly on loud bass hits. I've since upgraded to Alpine Type-R components and they blow away the Infinitys in every way.
