How hard to install a keyless entry system?

How hard to install a keyless entry system?

Just as the title says.

Anyone have a writeup?

I did it in a few hours, but third gens may be easier to work on (in case you have a 4th). Its really straight forward to be honest. Everything is color coded and just splice wires in. I installed a remote hatch release which I think is really cool.

That is the main page and will help you with pics for the wiring if you go to the 96+ section. However, for proper wires, you'll need to download the zip file for the 93-95 instead.

they arent too difficult most of them like the blackwidow 852 you hookup to a 12v const. 12v ignition, ground, LED/Valet, and then hook into your power lock wires. Most keyless entries can be done in no time, if you have a 5 wire lock system it can sometimes take a little more time in getting the lock/unlock part to work properly. Check out www.the12volt.com they got some good info there.
