How do I know if my factory head unit can use the steering wheel control?

Bought a delco bose factory head unit Pontiac with the eq and such and want to know how you can tell if it can operate a changer (factory) and be operated by steering wheel controls?

Thanks Shawn

The factory CD changer controls are on a separate wire harness. It's flat with about 7 wires or so coming from it.

You'll just have to plug the radio into the factory harness to see if the steering wheel controls will work with the new radio or not.
